Hi, this is my first post here, I've made an account because I really couldn't find anything like this from anyone else (alarming lol)
Recently, my 18 month old son has been putting his hand at the front of his trousers (sort of as if he's hiding his p.p, it's hard to explain) mostly just after getting dressed and he's whining and moaning like he's in pain or uncomfortable? the nappy is always clean and on properly, he does this with several different trousers/different fits so I don't see what could be uncomfortable. I feel really bad because he's obviously trying to tell me something, I just can't see anything wrong. Yesterday, he was touching his calves while whining too. Thanks, I hope this isn't too weird and obscure.

You don't say how long it's been going on for, but I'll assume at least a few days as you said 'recently'.
If your child is in pain and you can't find an obvious cause, then I'd take him to GP. If that's a two week wait where you are, I'd phone the health visitor in the meantime. Never hurts to ask.
