Parents of daughters? What age did they become hormonal?

My just turned 8 year old has just started to become what I think is hormonal? She gets really angry or shouts for us to stop talking to her and leave her alone. Is this normal at this age? Thought it would be a few years before this all started! Naive I know, she is our first child so we are clueless.

10, but they’re all different.
Are you sure it’s hormones, could there be something else going on with friends or school, other worries?

I have 3 daughters who have been through it. They all started with hormones and emotional changes around 8yrs. Physical changes varied, one was 8 when she began to get pubic hair and 11 when she started her periods. The other two were 12/13.

I'd say around 9. Earlier than I was expecting for sure. Good luck.

8/9 definitely

Dd was 7.

She has huge emotional outbursts that are kind of in line with my cycle so I was adamant it was hormonal, especially when her uncontrollable sobbing was met with "I don't know why" when asked why she was crying.

She is 10.5 now. Still no sign of period's but she is better at understanding why she feels so emotionally out of control for about 9 days of the month.
