Since 7 months my baby is waking around a hour after being put to bed and won’t settle till she’s in our bed and wakes everytime we try put her back in , we have never co slept till now so I don’t understand how she even knows to want to sleep in our bed , she’s always been a good sleeper and never went through any sleep regressions , is this one? I don’t know how to get her to sleep in her cot again I’m so scared having her in my bed 🥲

Hey. We had this around the same age, loved her next to me until 6/7 months and then hated it. Tried the cot and she hated that too.! Honestly, co sleeping saved us. She’s 2.5 now and happily sleeps in her own bed. Like everything, it’s a temporary phase and for me it was about getting the most sleep. People will talk about ‘rod for your own back etc’ but it’s natural for an infant to want to be close to you.

We aren’t do the co sleeping thing but have had the waking up after 45/1hrs a lot and the last few nights I’ve given her her bottle earlier and popped her in her for to self settle 20 mins or so before bedtime rather than feed to sleep and it seems to be working…… well as much as anything works with a 7.5 month old no doubt it’ll change again soon!!
