2 month old baby head banged against sofa armrest

Hi.

I was breastfeeding on the couch and wanted to put her on my shoulder to burp. She was very agitated and pushed her legs against me. I was about to drop her, managed to catch her but she got hurt in the armrest with the right side of her head. This happened yesterday and she seems to have a bruise now as per photo. She cried but there were no other changes in her behavior.
Everybody, including a dr I asked, says it's ok and not to worry. But i'm quite anxious. What do you think about the bruise and the accentuated blood vessels in the photo?

Thanks

Has she been seen by a doctor? If not I would have her checked over by Gp just to be sure. When DD was a bit older she rolled off the bed, and I got a phone app with doctor shortly after to assess over the phone and see her if required.
I'm anxious too, I'd insist a doctor see her if I couldn't be reassured by their phone assessment.

Also, just to say not because of your pic, I don't know anything so have no idea if the questions you've asked are relevant. Just that I would want a doctor to see her

It sounds from your description that she's fine. My DGS was very premature and hadn't been home from hospital long when his dad fell asleep with him on this lap and dropped him head first on to a stone floor. Phoned 999 and was advised to give him a feed and if he took it without vomiting, he'd be fine. No need to see a medical professional. He had a bigger bruise than your DC but was absolutely fine. I don't think you need to worry, but that's easy to say. We were all distraught and panicking. He's now a super brain, so definitely no damage.
