Newborn sleep in summer

I'm due my second baby in July this year and no idea what to get in terms of sleepwear. My daughter was born in April and think had a swaddle bag situation before a sleeping bag. I remember her not liking the swaddle bag all that much though. She had a linen sleeping bag when it was summer but she was a bit older, will that still be ok to use?
What did you dress your newborns in for sleep especially if it's super warm this summer?

Summer baby here. One blanket, or if it's super warm a large muslin will do fine. A vest or babygro is fine for jammies - bit of a judgement call depending on the temperature

Yeah it could be like last summer and barely warm haha, but always good to be prepared, thanks!

We used the Love to Dream swaddle sleeping bags that come in 0.2 tog which is super light. You can also get some sleeping bags that are like a muslin.

Depending on the summer, we had a heat wave when my daughter was born in July. She spent her first week or so in a nappy or vest (day and night)
For bed using a giant muslin. I used to love the ones from John Lewis.

@MoserRothOrangeandAlmond did you use the large muslins to swaddle or just as a blanket?

My daughter didn't like to be swaddled so I used them as a blanket as they were big enough to tuck in.

We still used long sleeve vest, with muslin swaddle when tiny, then merino sleeping bag from about 2 months old. It always cooled down overnight so by 1am it would be cold otherwise.
The odd day it was hotter at bedtime I just put in long sleeve vest with muslin cloth over their legs and not swaddled the first few hours, then added sleeping bag or swaddle when they woke to feed.

My daughter was born during a heatwave in August. For the first 3 days she was in vest and sleepsuits in hospital. Once we got home it was a vest in the day time and a sleepsuits at night on the hot days and both on warm days. I think it was still pretty warm around September time so 6 weeks ish and we added long sleeved vests and leggings.
Vest and leggings are good for when it's hot as it's easy to just whip the legs off during the hottest parts of the day without an outfit change and pop them back on later.
We used a large muslin over night which allowed us to vary the number of layers 1 on the hottest nights and folded in 2 or 3 on the cooler nights
