Descaling perfect prep help!

Hi everyone,

On here to ask what did you all use to descale your perfect prep machines? I read white vinegar but is there a difference between using white vinegar and white malt vinegar? Or can I use either? So confused.
My LO is 10 months and the descaling light has weirdly never came on the whole time I’ve been using it.

Thanks.

I'm not sure about malt vinegar? Wouldn't it stain or leave a smell? White vinegar is usually fairly cheap.

Citric acid, it has no smell and works as well as vinegar. Waitrose essentials descaler is citric acid, and you can also it in eco shops. I love that it doesn't smell. It's often food grade but I can't remember now if the Waitrose one is.
