Bright red ear!

My son 13m has just got a bright red ear he’s eaten his breakfast and his lunch and doesn’t seem to be in pain but it really is bright red and very hot he’s not got a temp do I leave it and see how it is in the morning or ring the doctors this afternoon?

I would ring today just to put your mind at rest - its the "very hot" bit that would make me call. Hopefully its nothing and the lack of fever generally is a good sign for this.
