DD waking at 4/5am every morning

My DD is 1 in a couple of weeks. For the past two weeks she has been waking up every morning between 4 and 5am and that’s her up for the morning. Her bedtime is 7pm and she used to go from 7-7 with one wake in between for a feed. Now she’s not waking til between 4 and 5, but instead of going back to sleep after her bottle she’s wide awake.

We have tried pushing her bedtime back to 7:30, then to 8:00, but it makes no difference. I’ve been capping her daytime naps at an hour in the AM and PM with about 3-4 hours between but this has been messed up a bit with her waking so early.

Does anyone have any tips for how I can get her sleeping any later? Starting the day at 4am is far too early for me!

No useful tips, but we had this for a period when my son was dropping his overnight feed. Nothing I did changed it and it got better on its own!

I am afraid I don't have good ideas either as my DD did this for months. Then she grew out of it. I took it as it's a developmental stage.

If she is going to bed at 7 no wonder! You will have to persevere with a later bedtime for a few weeks. Even then some kids are just early risers. My son only slept past 5am when he started school

My son just turned 1 and we had a similar issue. Sounds contradictory but if I put him to bed at 7 he wakes at 5, if I put him to bed at 6 he wakes at 6 so you could try an earlier bedtime and see if that helps?

Sorry another one who's DS was the same!
No matter what I done regarding naps and bedtime he still woke at 5 and did for months.

This sounds really normal, some kids are just early risers, my 2 are so I have to go to bed early.

Thank you for all your replies. I managed to get DD to sleep through til 6am this morning but only by giving a dream feed at 11pm which is probably a bad habit to be getting into!
