Wardrobe / is Ikea best?

I don't know if this is the right sub.

However I want yo decorate child's room. Currently we have an Ikea one but it's sliding doors and made of glass. It's 2 metres wide. I don't know if that's safe being made of glass? It's also annoyingly brown on the carcass so I can't get any new shelves etc inside. It currently has draws.

I was thinking of buying a 1.5m wide ikea wardrobe and a taller one, connecting to the wall etc.

I know I'm probably over analysing everything but would a taller one be safe? I don't know if child would start to open the doors and climb up inside.

The painted wall is external so ideally I wouldn't want to put a wardrobe next to it.

At the moment I want to keep the bed in the room as I want baby to not sleep in my room. I currently sleep in "his" room and I think it will make his transition easier when I don't sleep in the room (well I wanted to sleep with him long term but also be able to have my space if required, I'm single btw).
