Hi,

We split up before my son was born, my ex husband is very inconsistent in how often and for how long he sees our son. Sometimes for 1 hour, others for 20minutes. This is in my home and I go upstairs.

He’s now asked that he starts taking DS out of the house for an hour/two. I’m really really not ready for this. He’s BF and feeds 1-2hourly at present.

HELP. AIBU? The thought of being away from him makes me so upset, even for an hour. Would it be reasonable to say he needs to visit consistently for an hour a time before taking him out on his own? Or to say to wait until he’s weaning?

Sorry op, but he’s the dad so I don’t think you can really refuse him taking your baby out for a couple of hours. You can definitely refuse overnights because if feeding but you can express for an outing.
