What’s your little ones teething poo like? Unsure if it’s teething poo or cmpa… it’s mucusy and he’s going 5 times a day.
already on pepti for cmpa and symptoms went but not mucusy poo unsure whether we need neocate (gp prescribed it but unsure herself so don’t know what to do!)

Teething poo is awful - sore bum, cramps, bright red face and poonamis! Thankfully it improved fairly quickly but a bland diet helped (and sudocream)

@Daffodilsandsunshine was the teething poo with mucus in?

Before weaning my little on could easily for 5+ times a day with a whole host of different consistencies. If baby had a mucus-y poop 5 times a day now post weaning I would get her checked by GP. If you're worried, there's no harm in giving health visitor a call!

@Loword sometimes but not always mucousy, but if you're worried do speak to your pharmacist, HV or GP.

Green like mint sauce for us! Some mucus but not often, I think it’s normal thoughl. It lasted 10 days and there was lots of nappy changes. Not experienced it whilst established on solids yet, his first teeth came through at just turned 6 months.

My daughter has multiple allergies and I honestly couldn't tell her teething, allergy, viral illness, stress and random/toddler diarrhoea poos apart. They all smelt horrid, were a funny colour and contained mucus. We had to go on the other symptoms and hope we got it right or somewhere close.
If you have neocate prescribed I would edge my bets that it could be cmpa and start the milk. If you get the nappies into a good place you can always seek advice about doing a milk challenge

Thanks for reply’s!
@Superscientist sons on pepti and picked up neocate tonight but so worried to try it and he won’t drink it!
todays been 4 mucus poos, abbot wheezy and a little bit of a rash that comes and goes
but also there is now very clearly 2 marks on bottom gum where teeth are so I’m holding onto every bit of hope that the poos are from teething

If it's any reassurance we managed to get my 10 month old to switch from breastmilk to alfamino one of the other amino acid formulas. A friend managed to get her baby on to neocate from breastmilk at a similar age.

We used it with food from 8 months whilst we were trying to get her over a bottle aversion which was the hardest bit of getting her on to formula.

I hope the milk helps and the teeth aren't too problematic!
