Norovirus day 2 - any tips?

I'm on day 2 of having norovirus - was very sick yesterday couldn't keep any liquids down.

Today I've stopped being sick and feel way better than yesterday but still very dizzy and weak (and still some diarrhoea). Hoping to feel back to normal tomorrow as I have 2 young children and I'll be by myself for the weekend.

Any tips?

Should I take some Imodium for the diarrhoea ? I'm worried it's stopping me from staying hydrated

Personally I wouldn’t use the Imodium yet. I’d leave your body to do its work for a bit longer. You’re only on day 2.

Rest as much as you can and just keep sipping cooled boiled water at regular intervals.

Don’t rush your recovery! When you do start feeling hungry again go VERY slowly. Start with literally a nibble of some toast/cracker and wait a few hours. Repeat. I’ve been stung too many times rushing to eat and setting myself back. Food can wait. Focus on hydration.

Feel better soon.

Don’t use Imodium, your body needs to expel the virus (in my mind anyway). Lots of liquids and we also had pepto bismol which is a bright pink medicine from the pharmacy. It really soothes your insides after all the vomiting.

Try drinking room/body temp weak squash or a non-fizzy sports drink rather than water - plain water is too harsh on a sensitive stomach.
Use a straw to very slowly sip it - one small sip every 5 mins.
