God I need a rant.
My LO who is 14 months gets to about 4pm and then moans constantly til bed time it's unbearable. When will it end?!

Today was up at 8am which is late for him, usually it's 7. Anyway had a morning out, napped for 1hr 45 after lunch time, then went out on an hour walk.
Gets home, moaned non-stop. Trying not to give him his dummy except nap time but I gave in, still moaning.
He's been walking for a while so it's not that. He's had plenty to do and plenty to eat so I'm at a loss since he's been fine all day.
It's exhausting 🫠 send help.

Is he only on one nap?

I think it’s just the age for moaning since they can’t really whine verbally yet. So you just get the old-man-getting-out-of-bed groans. DS 13.5 months does it whenever tired, hungry or wanting his water cup but too lazy to get it.

It doesn’t actually go away once they’re verbal; it just becomes whining and mithering. It’s the witching hour that they used to have as little colicky babies, just a new version.

Yea he's been on one nap for a while, the last 3 months id say and he's usually fine, even if the nap is only about an hour but I'm wondering if they can regress for a while into needing 2 naps again. He had a belter of a nap today but he couldve went down a lot earlier if I'd have let him. Might try 2 naps tomorrow although I worry there will be a danger nap at like 3pm and he's up til 9 😂😭
I feel like you work so hard at figuring it out then you get a few days where you're like, Yeah! I think I've got this. And then it goes back to being rubbish but for an entirely different reason that used to not be a problem 🫠
