Hello! I'm a teaching assistant & after half term I'm taking over an intervention group based around self esteem at my secondary school.
I've been forwarded the lesson structures and plans and it's all a bit boring and death by PowerPoint isn't my thing! I don't want to stand at the front of the class talking at them, id much rather it be more informal and actually get through to them that way (hopefully!).
As parents of teenagers...what do you wish your children were being taught about self esteem etc? What has worked for you if you've had experience with parenting children with low self esteem? Are worksheets/mindfulness colouring sheets the way to go, or is it more about discussions and affirmations?
Thank you!
