Hello all.
My son is 2 and a half and is in an Axkid mini kid 3 in my fiat 500. The front seat is out of action as it has to be pushed all the way forward and the back pushed forward too. This doesn't matter to us as there's only ever son in his car seat and either myself or my husband driving. If we're all going somewhere together the other sits in the back with our son.
He's on the smaller side so I think we have time yet but I can see that eventually he'll outgrow the space in the car before he actually outgrows the seat as the headrest won't have space to extend any more.
Our other vehicle is a transit van driven only by my husband with no car seat in it as we've never needed it.
Do we...
a) get the Axkid installed in the van (Useful to have a car seat in it I guess for emergencies) and buy a forward facing car seat for the back of the Fiat. I think he would be well over the age of 3 by the time we'd need to sort this out
b) Give up on the Fiat and just bloody well get a bigger car. We can afford to do this but we own the Fiat and the van outright and it would be nice to keep things as they are and save money.
Anyone successfully done car seats in a Fiat 500 and can share experiences?
