My 12 month was exclusively breastfed and fed 3/4 times a night and I felt like I was never going to be able to stop but I'd already day weaned and suddenly he started sleeping 7pm-7am every single night and I managed to stop breastfeeding completely (I was mentally done!), this continued for 2 months and I was so happy, he takes a bottle happily in the day and has 3 good meals and slept through all night.
The past 2 nights he is awake constantly, I'll see him just lying there awake frequently on the monitor, I've not actually had to go in until 4am when he's started crying but he's been awake a lot. Proper crying has kicked in around 4am both nights and he's gone straight back to sleep with a bottle, but he's awake so much!
I'm scared that our run of him sleeping through is gone. Worried to give him a bottle at 4am as I don't want to start that as a habit? I didn't get back to sleep as the process of going downstairs to sort out a bottle and feed him just completely woke me up and I laid there trying to sleep until my eldest woke up at 6.50am. Typically my last few months of maternity he's slept like a dream and now I'm back at work next week he's changing!
Do I give bottles? Is there a chance it's just a phase? 🙈
