I’m so disappointed by my work. I was general manager of a restaurant- with this company for 10 years, GM for 6 years- I tried to drop 5hrs off my job role and was denied my flexible working request - I’m a single mum- so I had to drop down to a deputy manager as it was causing too much stress going through appeal.
they cut my wage massively and tried to get me on a horrendously Low salary saying it was a “mistake by accounting” I got a slightly better one. Now I find out the new GM who was my deputy goes straight into more money than me. He’s only worked for the company for 2 years
I’ve been back for 5 days and my old area manager hasn’t even called or text to welcome me back. Only one person I know from head office has.
im finding out if I have to pay my maternity back if I leave as it’s just all too crappy for me- am I being to irrational?
