Goats Milk formula

Hi all.
My baby is 10 weeks and has had issues with feeding since 2 weeks old.
She has silent reflux and is slow to gain weight. She is very fussy when eating and struggles to drink 24oz a day.
Doctor prescribed nutramigen for suspected CMPA and it made very little difference. It did however clear up her eczema. She has been screaming, arching her back and kicking her legs for the last week.
For the last two days I gave her nannycare goats milk formula and she seems quite happy with it. She enjoys having her bottle now. She hated the taste of nutramigen.
She is a lot less fussy. No explosive nappies and isn't arching. She's passing gas with no pain.
My question is has anyone made the move from nutramigen and noticed an increase in appetite ? Baby was getting 24/25 oz per day and since the switch She's had 30oz both days. Are babies hungrier on goats milk formula?
I'm delighted with the change so far. She does seem to have a few little spots since starting but no other side effects, if anything She's a happier child.
Thanks a million in advance.

We had a total nightmare with feeding! Tongue tie put a stop to BFing so we switched to aptamil….my LO had awful reflux on it and explosive nappies, every bottle resulted in a total outfit change. Moved around and tried HIPP, then comfort milk, then lactose free. Finally GP prescribed Aptamil Pepti and that was even worse for nappies and his appetite dropped.

Last resort we switched to Nannycare after a friend recommended it and we’ve never gone back. He’s 7 months now. His milk Intake increased quite a lot too….i don’t think it was hunger as he dropped his night feeds at 4 months I just think it was because he actually enjoyed the taste of it after the mashed potato milks he had been in. He wasn’t on Nutramigen but I can imagine it was vile!

Hes on the 90th centile now and really healthy. Normal nappies and really happy, his helped with his reflux but we do add one sachet of infant Gaviscon to a bottle but I have plans to stop that soon. We’ve been weaning for a little while and re-introduced cows milk in food as suggested by the HV and there doesn’t seem to be any issues but I’ll be keeping him on Nannycare for his bottles 100%. I think at 15 weeks he was on about 35oz a day. He’s on about 28oz now with food.

I would keep an eye out for cmpa symptoms returning using goat milk. 90% of babies will react to all mammalian milk due to the similarities in the proteins. Hopefully you wee one is in the 10% but watch out for a build up effect over the coming weeks.

Jumps in feeds in reflux babies to me says look of reflux is no longer being adequately managed. Comfort feeding is a big red flag for silent reflux. Feeding eases the discomfort from reflux but causes more reflux so they want more comfort and it spirals. The milk might need a thickener.

Did your little one continue to thrive on goats milk? Thinking of making the switch due to similar symptoms

Hiya,
Sorry to hear you're going through the same thing.
She did great for about 2 weeks and then she suddenly started refusing bottles. I guessed it was the allergy and she also got diagnosed with a tongue tie so we went back to nutramigen.
When she was 5 months old we slowly transitioned her off the nutramigen, mixing with kendamil classic. I think it took nearly a whole month to fully transition.
It was the best thing we did. Shes thrived on kendamil now for the last 4 months and loves her milk, a little too much lol 🤣 she prefers it over solids 🫢😁
