Teething

My 9 month old DGS is teething, 2 more bottom teeth about to cut through. He's even more distressed than with the first 2. My DD has given him calpol, and anbesol, he doesn't want a cuddle and he's screaming for the fourth night in a row. Does anyone have any more ideas of what she can do to help him? I don't remember the teething trauma with my 2 (must have blocked it out!) I know it's pretty rough whatever you do but would be interested to hear any advice.

Alternate the calpol with Nurofen and keep both topped up. You could try teething powders. If it goes on for much longer I would think something else might be at play? Does he have any other symptoms?

@Winnipeggy no other symptoms although she has just said he appears to have developed conjunctivitis today. He's just started nursery so fully expecting a barrage of germs to be coming their way unfortunately

Ah it's so tough. If it is just teeth then it should be over soon. The constant bugs are so exhausting! Your daughter sounds lucky to have you

@Winnipeggy thank you. I went over to see them today and he was all smiles for Grandma which must have been infuriating for her! They all looked so tired though. I'm having him for a sleepover the weekend after next so that they can have a break, I blooming love it. I think he might be the love of my life!

Oh that's so sweet, I have a 2 year old DD and my mum is just as lovely as you luckily. It's amazing how much joy such tiny people can bring to your life! Really hope he gets better soon x
