I have a 1 year old baby. She was breastfed up until 8 months old. She still will not really properly drink formula from a bottle feom me. She does take it better from other people but that's not helpful because I'm mostly on my own with her.

I was making her 3-4 4 oz bottles of which she might have drank an oz or 2,rarely the whole bottle. I just tried her on whole milk and she is spitting it out now.

Has anyone else had a baby that just does not like milk? Any helpful tips are welcome 🙏

She’s eating 3 meals a day I assume, so you can get milk in her with yogurt, cheese etc. So put the milk in a sippy cup.

Thanks for the reply. Yes she on 3 meals a day and does like cheese and yogurts. She happily drinks water from the sippy cup but is spitting the milk out.
The 3 meals a day adding dairy will be enough?

At a year old she doesn’t need formula. She shouldn’t have a bottle and she doesn’t even need milk at all. She needs 350 mg of calcium a day, this can be from milk (including fortified oat or soya but never rice milk) cheese, yoghurt, fortified bread and cereals. There is a good online leaflet, let me see if I can find it.

Yes she is spitting out the cows milk and just refuses refuses a bottle from me still. When my husband is home in the evening she will drink a bottle from him but has held strong at not drinking one from me!

I really wouldn’t worry about it at her age. I stopped breast feeding two of mine at 12 months so tney got no more milk from then on.

It’s fine and very normal- you’re supposed to ditch the formula and bottles at 12 months, the bottle especially because they’re awful for teeth, and lots of babies have no interest in milk from a sippy cup, or dislike the taste of cows milk- both of mine were like this. Definitely don’t keep pushing a bottle she doesn’t want. A dairy rich diet and water to drink is absolutely fine, I’d also add a multivitamin if you haven’t already.
