Is this normal? I formula fed my first DC so unsure what’s normal for breastfed babies

My newborn can go 2-3 hours but of a night it’s more 1-1.5 hours and I am tired but my midwife and HV have just said it’s hard but gets easier around week 6

so just want to know from parents POV

Completely normal, it's all about establishing supply and making sure there's enough for demand. Every baby will feed differently too so some will be more efficient than others at getting the milk out quicker so feeds are shorter.

Fwiw I'm on month 8 almost with mine and during the day he's eased off but seems to go for it at night too 😴

Yep, been there! I could barely spend an hour getting groceries.

For us it got easier around 3 months

Yep every 60-90 minutes during the day and 1-3h over night. Usually 1. 3h and then hourly through the middle of the night then a 2h stretch before waking up

Ok thank you I was wondering if normal! My mum keeps saying I’ll need to give it because of our toddler and how the sleep deprivation will get to mr

and I just wondered is it normal (which it seems to be) and sounds like it will lessen

Yes this is completely normal

Exhausting and draining but it's normal and this too shall pass.

Keep going, you are doing amazing

Yes, totally normal. I remember having a numb bum from sitting and feeding so much. It will settle down and then you’ll be glad you’re not having to faff around with bottles.
