My son currently has my ex’s last name who he hasn’t seen in person for over 12 months. For context my ex is an absolute barcessistic dead beat dad who had the balls to give evidence at our last fskily court hearing and even the Judge commented on how my ex’s presentation spoke volumes in supporting my claims of controlling, aggressive, abusive behaviour. BUT as family Courts do, they allowed my sons dad supervused contact once every two weeks in a contact centre and one FaceTime call a week (he hasn’t done either).
i have previously submitted an application for a change of name during mine and my ex’s child arrangement order proceedings in 22/23 however this application was rejected even though i asked for a double barrelled only, jot even removing my ex’s name.
My ex has not seen my son in over a year and I’m desperate to change my sons name to double barrelled (i know i’m stupid still allowing rhe dads name in the last name), i am close and my sin still sees some of the paternal family on a really regular basis so i can’t see why my application was refused but it is what it is :(.
Do you think i have more chance now my baby dad is completely out of the picture for over a year?
