My dc is almost 7yo. He struggles with doing actions while singing. Even simpler hand gestures.
He loves BSL but I watched him sing two songs where he had to say the words and do the hand actions and he really struggled. He was in the minority in the group to struggle, so I am just sat thinking why is this trickier for him...
It might be the speed - may be he needs a bit longer to think about what he's doing with his hands, as well as what he is saying.
I've noticed similar in karate as well - counting in Japanese and doing the action - it seemed harder for him than the rest of the kids.
Just wondering if anyone's dc had similar and how to help with that.
