How long to wait with a dry nappy , 12mo?

My DS is at the back end of a bad cold/cough he’s been a little off it in the days the last couple of days but gets really bunged up at night and restless. He was due his vaccinations and I told the nurse about his illness and she said as he has no temperature to go ahead.

so he had his vaccinations this morning and had wet nappies as normal. But has barely touched his lunch or dinner and kept shaking his head when I tried to give him his cup, so I gave him an extra breastfeed at 5 ish. He has seemed very cranky.

then changed his nappy which was quite full but 3 hours later when I changed him for bed it was bone dry, he then went to sleep.

my question how long do I wait at his age ? Should he obviously pass urine during the night? I ended up in a&e for a similar thing when he was a few month old but was sent home as he seemed well in himself and was feeding fine.

thanks in advance

I would see how it is in the morning it probably is because he has been off it and not drinking and eating as normal. My DD is a lot younger though but I would just keep an eye. Was 5pm the last breastfeed?

Sorry yes I gave him an extra one at 5 then gave him his usual before sleep. The last month or so he has stopped waking in the night for a feed but wondering if I should give him an extra one later in case or just see how he is in the morning
