Anyone help with this rash please?

DD (3 just turned) has in the last 10 minutes come out in a rash. It's now spread to her legs, tummy and back of her neck.

No known allergies, no change in washing products and no new unwashed clothes on.
Usual chicken veggie bake for dinner and we meal rotate.

She seems okay in herself, just a bit quiet.

I've given piriton.
Any ideas, does it look viral?

It doesn't quite disappear under a glass.

Thanks all!

Perhaps call 111 instead of asking for advice on Mumsnet. A rash coming on so quickly and in multiple areas should alarm any parent. Keep a close eye on her mouth & breathing

Scalded skin syndrome? My son had it, temp came on not long after. Urgent care.

I'm actually on the phone to 111 on hold. I'd never take medical advice from anyone on MN over seeking professional help, it was just if anyone had any ideas while I waited.

NHS online has a rash section with photos for comparison.
I fortunately have never seen measles in the flesh, but there is a significant outbreak in the UK, especially in the Midlands. Even with vaccination this can be a possibility.

That's good to know, thank you!

Thanks for checking in, she ended up having a video call with a GP last night. He thinks she has measles.

Her jabs are fully Utd but she's due her preschool jabs next week ironically!

She was fine in herself when I took the pic but quickly came on with a fever and now had a runny nose and cough. :(

So she's at home with me today on the sofa with calpol. Didn't expect measles!

If the rash hasn’t improved I personally would take them straight to a&e, no harm in getting them checked out for peace of mind especially when they’re little. Unfortunately with 111 is they fob you off unless your little one is seriously ill and you don’t want to to get to that point before you’re taken seriously. Best of luck!

Crossing everything for a quick and mild case, OP. Scary how many cases there are atm!
