Maternity leave question

Hi all,

Wasn’t sure where was best to ask this so hoping you can help!

My workplace offers 12 weeks full pay, 12 weeks half, the rest (to 9 months) statutory.

I went off on maternity leave and there was 9 bank holidays during that time. I know that we accrue these but as some of them fell into the period that I was on full pay, they say I’m not entitled to them. Does this sound right?

Thanks

Possibly it is right because you got paid correctly for those bank holidays. For the ones where you got less than full pay, you should get those. It might be worth querying this with a higher level member of HR than whoever you’ve spoken to because I’m not 100% sure.

I accrued all my bank holidays and was able to take them back after my mat leave, including the ones that fell when I was on full pay. Who has said you're not entitled to them? Unless it was HR I would go to them about it

i accrued all of my bank holiday regardless of how much I got paid.
