Picking a pram?

Hi everyone!

I'm pregnant and looking at prams and it's a complete minefield, I have no idea where to start, if anyone has any recommendations for me to check out would be highly appreciated.

I'm looking for a pram that can also be turned into a stroller (travel system?)

Preferably not too heavy and easily foldable

Happy to spend around €1000

We like to go out walks a lot and use trains etc to get around (don't drive in Spain) so something that's easy to get around

We will be traveling back to the UK for a visit when baby is around 4 months old so ideally something we can take on a plane (once they are all older I will be buying a cheap stroller for traveling but as they will still be on a pram at that point a stroller won't do)

Also car seats, do all car seats fit all cars? We don't have a car in Spain due to brexit and driving licence problems so we will have to get a taxi home from the hospital. We plan on moving to the UK early next year where we will have a car so would like the car seat to be able to fit in it.

By the time your return to the UK you might find it cumbersome to be moving the car seat on and off the pram.

I would start by looking second hand. Look at what prams still look in good condition after having been used for 2 years. We changed our mind on brands after seeing them in quite poor conditions when sold second hand. I didn't have a car when my daughter was young so I went for a pram that could handle a lot of walking. I went with a joolz geo pram second hand for £100 RRP £800. We have used it for 3 years and it looks brand new despite it having had 3 children using it. I handles so easily and my mum preferred pushing it compared to the travel system my sister has with my niece. We had a fixed based spin seat in my partner's car that we used once every week or two when she was little and she still has plenty of room in it at 3.5
