Red eyes with cold?

Hi just wanted to make sure this was ok?

my 13 mo old has his first bad cold , really bunged and not sleeping at night unless he’s on his sat up. But he woke up this morning and his eyes were all stunk together with like eye crust and they seem very red in the corners and his eye lids. He seems to be coping well despite just wondering if this is normal as I haven’t had this before

My lo has the same issue. Turns out we both have Covid

@ohmygolli oh no, how old is lo and are they doing okay? My ds seems fine playing etc it’s just at night his cold is keeping him up. I know covid is going round the village again but me and husband are fine for now

Same as PP, I had that with Covid as did my little one. Never had it before that. Covid is rife at the moment so good chance you've got it

@jf1992x i never saw it before until now. Any tips? Or just treat it like a usual cold? Or should I be more worried with how young he is

Mine had that the other week then a few days after caught some virus. Tbh I just assumed conjunctivitis and then Roseola but never thought at testing for Covid 😑 took about a week and a half for eyes to be normal again. Just keep cleaning with cool boiled water

@Lauren0401 14 months! Doing ok other than the eyes, snottiness but generally ok playing.
