Head Lice

What do you do when your child keeps catching head lice from a child whose parent is adamant they are clear of them? They are definitely not clear, numerous people have seen them crawling in her hair, she has been told by the teacher and denies it. I can't afford to keep buying the stuff it's so draining. I don't even understand why it's so hard - the all in one stuff gets rid of the lice and eggs in 20 minutes, we've never had any trouble, once they're treated they are gone! It's grinding my gears so much, I have politely suggested they treat just to make sure and am met with "she definitely doesn't have them and I'll check again". She must be doing the most basic perfunctory checks and just not seeing them. It took me 40 minutes today of sectioning and combing to find one tiny lice so a quick ruffle of the hair is not going to be enough and that's what I think she's doing.

What else can I do? I already braid my daughter's hair tightly for school.
