Hi my lo is approaching 12m. I know its not the end of the world but he is waking at 6am on the dot daily as though his body is totally programmed to this. It doesnt matter if he doesnt go to bed until 8 it makes no difference at all he will still wake at 6. He also wake for resettling so its a killer. Bedroom is pitch black, I ignore him , i pat him , i dont give bottle straight away. iv tried it all but hes wide awake. He generally goes to sleep between 7.00/7.30 but im not sure if the naps are the issue and I get so many different things when I google. So he normally goes back for 1st nap between 9/9.30 for around 1.20 and yes im aware hes probably using this to catch up on lost sleep and it feels cruel to wake him as he just simply has not had enough night sleep. He then sleeps for anything between 40 mins to an hour on 2nd nap anything from around 2pm. I did wake after 30 mins on first nap in the home for a 2 hour 2nd nap but this had no effect caused him to want to nap earlier lasting only 40 mins by which this totally messed everything up and wasn’t enough sleep to see him through to bed time. Its just a nightmare and feel like nothing im doing is working. Any advice is really appreciated.

Some kids seem to be programmed to rise at a certain time. Sounds like he is getting enough sleep if he is sleeping 7-6? Around this age mine started to drop a nap and now at 18 months old he usually does 7-6 with 1.5 hours nap in the afternoon.
