I’m more than aware that there are much bigger issues we could have! But my darling boy knocked his front tooth clean out on the weekend and I’ve been devastated 😭 he will be 3 in April. His smile don’t be the same for a long long time, I suppose I just wanted some comfort in knowing it’s not just us that’s been through this experience! I really really hope that kids will be kind to him at school, until they start loosing there’s!

If it makes you feel better my DS2 knocked DS1 against a chair and broke his front tooth in half. This was when aged about 8 ish so not baby teeth that grow back. It's just one of those things and be glad it's not his second set.

The other half is still in place and has been built up to look OK but will never be perfect.

Mine did age 4! And twisted the one beside...No one commented on the gap but they did on the twisted tooth....once or twice only. I was the one that was sad as she had perfect teeth before that....big tooth down now!

Mine did this age 4 too, she broke off half the tooth and the rest was twisted so very noticeable. She was so self conscious and was so worried what her adult tooth would come through like. She lost the tooth completely at 7 it just came out when she was brushing her teeth. She's 11 now with beautiful straight adult front teeth.

Mine did at 3 as well. She's 6 now so had the gap a while. It's really fine. Her smile was still her smile. She'll get a new one eventually. It's really not a big deal.

My cousin did that, lost both front teeth. He's a teenager now and I actually forgot that he'd lost his front teeth as a toddler until someone mentioned it recently. I remember him being all smiley and a happy little soul. I don't remember the missing teeth at all.

My daughter did this at three, she’s never been teased. Odd time her friend would ask where it is but she’d just say it fell out. She’s started losing other teeth now but the dentist confirmed it’s there waiting to come through. They did say she will need braces but she would have needed them anyway as the others have come through crooked.

Honestly you're lucky it's baby teeth - DD broke her brand new 2 front teeth aged 7, now almost 15 & we are still dealing with ongoing issues. At least your child's smile will return in a couple of years, DDs will never be the same & she is so self conscious about it she hardly smiles naturally which breaks our hearts every single bloody day!

I was playing with my 2 yo and chipped his front tooth
I have found that in school they are excited about teeth falling out and most are jealous when others teeth fall out

Hello, my son did this at just 9 months. It was awful and even though he’s 12 years old I still remember every moment. Not unusual though, and that’s why you have milk teeth - they are going to replace themselves. Age 5 he was proud of his missing teeth, the other boys were jealous. And I now feel nostalgic when I see pics of his funny gummy smile.

Mine did this falling off a swing when they were 3, you get used to the gap, it just becomes part of them - took a little while longer than usual for that tooth to cut through, our dentist said the gum can thicken when the baby tooth comes out so early but it didn’t cause any problems when it did come through.

Thank you so much everyone, it’s made me feel so much better & he’s still a handsome boy, he’s already got a scar above his eye from an accident at nursery, so he’s certainly living up to his crazy nature!
