from peeing in the loo to pooing there - the impossible journey?

DD - almost 3 - has been fantastic about peeing and got the hang of deciding when to go very quickly. She hasn't had any accidents
since we started (3 wks ago), but flatly refuses to even try to poo in the loo. She requests a nappy, then poos in it, and we start again. Bribes of special knickers haven't worked, and this is all getting me very annoyed indeed - which is of course the thing to avoid as I'm sure she'll pick up on it! The Little PRincess book is one she likes but it clearly isn't quite enough to persuade her that isn't scary to poo in the loo...
Will definitely be trying the Kandoo trick, but what else has worked for you?

i posted about this a while ago, nursery said it is common, took her to a paediatrician for a check up and he gave me a bollocking, totally unacceptable he said.
he suggested making dd always do poo in nappy in bathroom, then moving to holding nappy under bottom whilst on loo then full blown loo.still haven't managed to do it but have to soon before she starts school. dd has started to take nappy off and try and clean herself, dh wondering where chocolate raisins were coming from on his socks.
