im a FTM and noticed my babies forehead almost looks a little heavy and unsure if the top of his forehead is a lil flat. So as you do, I hit google, and heard of frontal bossing.
ive attached some pics so if you can tell me he looks norm or not that would be great lol.
still going to talk to the health visitor jic. He’s 5 weeks old.
just want to know he’s either ok or I’m not going insane so any help is welcome 😭😂

I am NO expert, but he looks totally normal to me. I think frontal bossing is more lumpy, maybe?

FtmB · 21/01/2024 19:40

Thank you! I thought normal but the picture of him in his swing really threw me off & being a ftm I think it’s normal to overthink lol🫣 I’ll still talk to the health visitor but you deffo calmed my nerves so Ty x

Frontal bossing is normal - one on each side of the forehead - females often retain them into adulthood.

He looks fine to me! Baby's crania are plastic and will change shape as he grows. But definitely ask you health visitor - they will keep measuring it and checking it is in the 'normal' range size wise.

Looks normal to me; my only experience is teaching a child with significant frontal bossing above the brow line, amongst other physical features, caused by a genetic condition and the mum said it had been very prominent from birth.

Looks perfect to me !🤩

Looks a lot like my DD who has a perfect sized head now at 5! What did he weigh at birth OP? My daughter was a big 9lb 13oz so I think she was just chunky all over including the forehead. Grin He's absolutely gorgeous btw, congratulations!!
