15 month won’t accept any bottles

My 15 month is breastfed and refuses all bottles! She won’t milk or water from it, which is making nursery really difficult. Tried a normal milk bottle, Tommee Tippees sippy bottle, Tumtum sippy bottle, and open cups.
When we first got the sippy bottle, she took to it, but now refuses. She knows the straw goes in her mouth but just plays with it like a nipple.
With open cups she throws water everywhere, as a game, and doesn’t even try to drink.
As she’s breastfed, maybe she’s not thirsty, but I’m just so stressed when she goes to nursery as I know she won’t drink anything whilst there.
Any tips?

When you say the Tommee Tippee sippy bottle have you also tried the free flow sippy cup? That's the only one my daughters has got one with.

Free flow cups are usually better but sorry if I misunderstood and you tried that already!

She'll be different at nursery. They all are. She'll probably drink water quite happily from a cup there.

This.

don’t underestimate peer pressure. They will do what the other children do.

I have tried it, she just throws the water on the floor!

So far she hasn’t copied anyone but I’m hoping she will eventually. They offer it to her regularly but she doesn’t want it

Have you tried a straw cup? My first never accepted bottles but when I offered a straw cup of water she would drink that fine.

How do you give her water at home? At 15 months she should be having water during the day and not milk every time she needs a drink. Does she drink water from a cup with meals?

May I suggest 360⁰ Magic cups. If she throws it on the floor, just a splash comes out. In our experience, the Munchkin one is nice as once the top is taken off, it can be used as a normal tumbler, so useful for longer. The colour-change ones darken with cold (fridge temp), so drinking all the cold water in our cup changes the colour from purple (cold) to pink (room-temp) after a few minutes. Well, it amuses my lot anyway. You can buy lids in addition if required to transport them when full.

Good luck!

Oh I should try that! She likes to tip them and watch the water come out, will that happen as much?

She doesn’t have water at home as she refuses any bottle. Only milk

Just a few drops when tipping, the youngest likes bashing his up-ended cup on the table, he ends up with a decent puddle. We just have water though. It's a 3-part cup, with the screw lid and a silicone part that pops on top of the lid. It's easy to dismantle for washing.

What happens if you help her drink from an open cup so she can’t throw it but gets used to drinking water?

I can’t believe a 15 month year old isn’t drinking water.

Is she old enough to be interested in copying you? E.g she drinks out of a shot glass or espresso cup while you drink from a water glass or normal mug.

Hi have you had any improvement? My 13 month old is breastfed and won't drink out of a bottle or cup. He knows how to do it because he has sips now and then but has never been more than an ounce or 2 in a whole day.
