I wasn't quite sure where to post this but anyway , has any of you ever had a baby with severe reflux?

My baby who is now 5 months has severe reflux , we have been back and fourth to the gp so many times , baby has been on 8 different formulas , has had thickening powders for feeds, has been on gaviscon and still spews up feeds like nothing normal.

My GP isn't much help anymore. Has anyone had a refluxy baby? When did it ease? Is there anything you did that cured ? Baby has been awake 2 hours, has had a 9oz bottle and has been changed 3 times. Bibs be soaked, baby grow & vest gets soaked as well as even his skin.

I really wish I could help him! It hasn't been easy this has been going on since he was 6 weeks, he's now 23 weeks!

What reflux treatments have you been offered and what milks have you tried?

My daughter has severe reflux mostly silent but she had actual reflux up to about 6 months. She needed high dose omperazole and as much gaviscon as I could get in her to stop the continuous screaming. I also had to cut out a lot of foods from my diet. We ultimately went on to formula but the only formula that didn't contain one of her allergens was alfamino. To get her reflux fully under control we also had to add in domperidone which is a medication that helps to speed up the emptying on the stomach to reduce the opportunity to reflux.

She is 3.5 now and unfortunately she hasn't grown out of her reflux not her allergies. She still reacts to crumbs of food and it's a constant battle to keep her reflux under controlled by medication and are now under 2 paediatricians
