Is it a Good Thing or a Bad Thing that my dd seems to have stop expecting me to play with her?!

I have to confess that I don't particularily enjoy playing with her anyway , but in the last few weeks probably since my ds has been born my dd seems to have stop badgering me to play with her as much as she used to. I feel guilty because I think it must be because I am busy with the baby a lot of the time, but she is showing no resentment towards him at all and tends to just sort of get on with playing on her own a lot more, and probably watching a bit too much tv as well. I make an effort every day to read to her or play with her for short periods (as long as I can stand it!), but much prefer going out for walks etc than the traditional sitting-down-and-playing with her. SHe is just over 3, is this som, ethig she would start doing at this age anyway or has she just given up on me !! TIA

I guess they do get to an age where they do this. My DD (also 3) does now accept that she plays stuff like dolls on her own but often asks me to do things like sticking etc. with her. I like doing stuff like that better and as you say going to places like the park, woods etc.
