Bedtime for 7 year old

What time does your 7 year old (year 2) go to bed? Mine is in bed the same time as his 4 year old sister 7/7.30pm but I'm finding he's taking longer and longer to get to sleep every night and I don't know if I should be pushing his back a bit? I quite enjoy my evenings once they are both in bed! Maybe say read in bed for 20 minutes beforehand?

Lights out at 8.30 (or 8 if it’s an early night). He still wants cuddling to sleep so I don’t get much of an evening to myself.

Mine goes a at the same time as his 9 year old sibling at around 8pm (give or take depending on activities and the season) and have done for many years, due to work etc we have our evening meal around 6 and lights out by 8. They get up around 6.30.

I also have a 7 year old and 4 year old. They both go to bed at 7/7:30 but the 7 year old often reads and/or listens to podcasts till 8/8:30. I think he quite likes the chance to decompress a bit and have some time to himself. It's been very good for his independent reading!

If he asked to stay up later, I would reconsider but for now he seems happy

Mine has just started to go to bed at 8pm. Before it was 7pm.

Mine is ten now but it would have been 8/8:30. I am surprised they aren't raising the question why they are going to bed at the same time as a four year old.

Mine were very conscious of fairness and having their age noted in every situation 😜

I have a 6 and 3 year old, they both go to bed at the same time, around 7/7:30, then my 6 year old reads until he falls asleep. I usually turn his light out about8/8:30. He thinks he’s onto a right ticket, staying up after his sister, I have no issues with it as he’s reading!

I thought mine would do this as generally they are into fairness but for some reason they seem to see it as fair because it's the same time!

Older now but mine were asleep by 1930. Depends what time they have to get up though, they were up at 6am
