Baby hates car seat and pram

Hi

Looking for some advice. My 12 week old hates the car seat. He cried everytime we put him in it and will rarely fall asleep in there. He also doesn't like the pram. I'm not very tall myself and do have to stand up a bit to be able to see him so I wonder if it's because he can't see me?

It's making me not want to go out, if I go for a coffee or pop to the shops he cries if I leave him in the car seat and clip it to my travel system base and also cries in the pram. I do have a carrier for walks.

Is there anything I can do? Is he too young to try him in the 'seat' part of the travel system? How do I get out and about with him?

We have a travel system too and swapped to the pushchair around 2.5 months, our son seemed to prefer it. We faced it towards us and tilted it back slightly to begin with, so he could see us but still look around a bit more. If he was due a nap I’d tilt it back further with the shade down and keep it moving until he drifted off, if not I’d pack toys to keep him entertained. I think teething toys are good at that age!
