Does anyone’s school using a car sharing app?

Appreciate car sharing can be a faff and they do have negatives.

But I think it can also be successful and really helpful esp to working partners.

does anyone know of a car sharing app? Or have experience using one at their school?

ideally would like to avoid the huge WhatsApp groups that just seen to go off topic anyway.

Sorry OP but I can't imagine any school would help facilitate car sharing. They have enough to deal with, and I doubt they want to be blamed for missed lifts or any other issues that happen as a result of car sharing.

Yeah I wouldn’t expect the school to do it, as you say they’ve got enough to do and we’ll parents should be adult enough to sort.

I think there’s apps that parents sort it between themselves but I’m not sure if anyone has actually used them whether they’re any good in reality.

You mean school based but not school run I think, maybe local Facebook site I have heard of apps bit no idea on names

Never heard of schools providing this as a service?

I wouldn't feel comfortable with a random parent taking my child to school.

Our school sent out an app at the beginning of the school year for one but don’t know anyone who uses it. We have an hour to hour and a half round trip twice a day to do the school run but still the idea of car sharing and having to work out the logistics of picking up other people’s kids/relying on others to pick up mine seems much more of a hassle.
