My DD (10.5 months) has never been a great sleeper but for the past few nights she's been waking every 1.5 - 2 hours crying. She sits up (sometimes pulling to stand) every time and even if we leave her a few minutes she just gets more upset and screams louder. Generally she falls back asleep quickly when my husband goes to comfort her, sometimes I go but she takes longer to settle with me so he's doing the bulk of it at the moment. He's on parental leave for now so it's bearable, although we're both tired and frustrated, but he's back at work next week and I'm worried!
For some background, she's eating 3 solid meals a day, is breast fed 4-5 times a day, is having 2 naps of 30-40 mins each, and is a very active baby. She is starting to take her first steps - over the past week she's been managing 4-5 steps at a time and is standing unaided a lot. We try to get her out at least once a day for some stimulation e.g. baby class, visiting family, etc.
Any advice, insights or help would be very much appreciated!
