Just wondering when should I worry that baby isn’t rolling?

he’s just over 5 months. He’s literally showing no signs whatsoever. He’s gets plenty of floor time on his back. He will reach but no roll to reach he just shouts in frustration. Tried tempting him
moving toys etc. he also get tummy time which he hates really but we try a lot through the day and will persevere for However long he will tolerate. He will lift his head quite well but isn’t pushing up yet.

he can however sit up quite well and isn’t too folded in half if that makes sense.

looking for tips and advice

Tummy time is needed to help build muscle strength. I've always found a tummy time pillow (or rolled up blanket/towel) helps when they don't enjoy it.

At 5 months though, I wouldn't be concerned about rolling. Babies develop at their own rates so while some babies will be rolling at this stage, others will be a long way off. Increasing tummy time will help them get there sooner though.

Yeah more tummy time. Less putting him in sitting until he can get there on his own

Check out milestonesandmotherhood on Instagram (if you are on there). She is a paediatric physical therapist and has tonnes of great content on how to support babies through each of the stages of developments and how to set up the environment to help them along

Babies roll belly to back before they roll back to belly.
I'd give it another 2 - 3 months before you are concerned. Was baby early? That also makes a difference.

Our baby (not my first) hates tummy time so we use a tummy time roller (rolled up towel does the same job), and he lies on my chest with my chatting to him while he does tummy time that way.

@Whentwobecomesthree I literally followed her yesterday so will give her page a look now.

@Owlsoutsidethewindow he was 4 days late but I’m going to try him with the rolled up blanket tomorrow. Also put a mirror in front of him this evening when on belly he was amazed 😅 so will give that another go too.
