Oh hell, please help. DS (3.2) knows exactly what to do but never does it for me or DH

Been potty training for what seems like months. He does a wee in the loo (standing up bless him) if we take him but he never goes of his own accord and wees himself regularly. However he started nursery earlier this year and noticing that he was always dry there I asked if they took him and they said that he went by himself. So you can see why I'm going mad. He also never poos anywhere but in his pants. Only once has it gone in the loo and I danced a gig and praised him. I try not to show any reaction when he poos/wees in his pants/trousers but I'm at the end of my tether. Sometimes he even pulls his pants/trousers down to do it but just wees all over the floor. This happened yesterday and the potty was about a foot from him. I'm sooooooo frustrated.

The fact that he's a managing at nursery is a good sign. I'm sure he'll crack it soon.

This is what worked for us, don't know if it's of any use:

Bought ds big boy pants with favourite character on them so he didn't want to mess them
Bought special hand soap - Palmolive one with an underwater scene
Turned getting to the toilet into a race
Reward for going to the loo was to play with the bubbles in the sink, followed by a phone call to grandma (absolute saint) to tell her all about it!
Asking on the hour every hour if he needed to go.

Going to the toilet was fun. A mild 'oh dear', even if I didn't feel mild, if he didn't make it.
