What to use as party bag

DS has his 4th bday party next month and I am struggling to find a party bag that I can use. I’ve bought some animal 3D paper/foam puzzles which I thought was quite cute as I wanted to avoid buying plastic tat that would get thrown straight away, but the problem is that although flat, the packs are 18cm x 28cm and all the party bags I have seen would not fit.

Any ideas of where I can get some bigger party bags which aren’t super expensive, or another option. I want to avoid having them not bagged as the puzzles are all different animals and don’t want to get into children picking which one they want, and whoever is last doesn’t get to pick kind of thing

Wrap them up?

Paper lunch bags from Amazon and get the children to decorate them with stickers after the food is served. I did this and then did a pinata and they took the spoils home in their bag.

buy some rolls of birthday wrap and make your own, you should find a guide on you tube for how to make a simple gift bag and then you can make the perfect size for your needs

Wrap them up?

This is my back up plan. But because I’ll also have some sweets and cake pops , I want to avoid having to wrap the packs and then also give another party bag for the rest

30x30cm brown paper bag. You or DC could decorate the fronts? Or just leave them 🙃

Just paper bags would be fine. Either stick a few stickers on yourself or have that as an activity to do at the party.

Brown paper lunch bags. I’ve used these before. You can get them in packs from quality save or somewhere like that. Or from Amazon.

I saw in Tesco today a load of the Paperchase branded Christmas range gift bags reduced down to really cheap prices (like 20p each or so). They are just bright colours rather than Christmasy.

Agree with getting large paper bags, brown Kraft bags from Amazon

Thank you! So many great ideas

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/01/2024 20:48

Yy to brown paper bags. If you’re stuck I buy them in the thousands for work and can happily post you some.

If you have a stash of existing gift bags could those be an option? Doesn’t matter that they aren’t matching. I’m going to use mine for my son’s next bday as I have a massive stash of them!!

Not that I encourage Temu but you have enough time to order and it’s worth checking out
