Autism and plasters

DS who has ASD cannot cope with the feel of plasters. We have tried so many different solutions; gauze and medical tape, gauze and tegaderm, different makes of plasters etc but he can’t wear them for longer than 10 seconds.

Obviously this isn’t always a big deal, if it’s a small cut or graze then we just clean it up and leave it, but he recently had a cut glued together and steri-stripped at the hospital and he wouldn’t let them put a dressing on it.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and found a solution that their child will tolerate?

Spray on plaster worked for my DD; all others are removed but not these!

Just be aware I used spray on plaster before and it stung horribly until it dried, just something to be aware of.
