16month old not drinking milk

My 16 month old has self weaned from breastfeeding. He can’t have milk alternatives as he is allergic to most - cows, oat, soy, almond and oat. He eats very well - veg, fruit, fish, breads, cereal, meat etc and drinks plenty of water. Did anyone else’s toddler just not have milk?

*we are under a dietician and consultant but next appointment isn’t for another 6 weeks and I am just worried so trying to settle my mind really

I think a dietician can prescribe an appropriate alternative.

How long is it since he self weaned OP? Both of mine wouldn't touch milk for at least 2 weeks after stopping BFing.

He needs another source of calcium. How about pea protein milk?

@Mum2jenny He has been prescribed neocate but won’t touch it, even with flavourings etc in it

@PinkMimosa oh that’s interesting. Only since Saturday so 3 days

In that case I wouldn't worry. I get a bit stressed when DC1 refused milk but after two weeks he gladly took it. I wasn't really expecting DC2 to do the sand but they did almost exactly 2 weeks as well.

My dgc did eventually drink neocate but I think they did need to add flavouring. Can’t remember if it was Ribena or a fancy milk free strawberry stuff
