Does anyone else's child have weird quirks?!

What weird quirks do your children have?

My 3 year old has a fluffy lamb comforter and if I touch it before bed or happen to sit on it he tells me no and says I've made lamby hot.

He then has to put the lamb in the fridge to make him cold again 😅.

This is usually only at night time but sometimes happens during the day too!

It's very bizarre and it's only just started in the past few months.

We find it very strange bur quite funny too.

My DD (11yo) has a soft blanket comforter which she likes to be cool. If it gets warm it isn't as soothing apparently, she has always felt this way about it. 🙃
So she will often drop it beside her bed for it to cool on the floor and then retrieve and snuggle it. She doesn't think my briefly touching it warms it. But she would never want me to make it warm.

@ArchetypalBusyMum so funny isn't it!

I get the coolness might be nice but sometimes if I even brush past it he claims I've made it hot 🥵!!!

He lies it on the kitchen floor if the fridge is not available 😆😆

Hahaha. I love him taking matters into his own hands. There's a lad who knows what he wants and is going to make it happen. He'll do well in life. 👍

My DD used to drive me mad at that age, crying for me in the night just cos she wanted me to pull the duvet further up over her... It was down by her waist. She could easily have pulled it up herself. 🤐
She doesn't do it anymore thank goodness obvs... But I would have given anything for her to have that 'can do' attitude yours has. 🤣🤣

@GinFizz3489 I did something similar as a kid. I had an old t shirt that was my comforter. I preferred it cold and hated people touching it and getting their smell on it! 😂

When my son was young he would shout shot shot every time you cut a nail like he was being murdered! The neighbours must have thought we were bad people. We think he was trying to say short!

My 10yo yells banana all the time.

My 7 year old has a velvety type blanket that he's had from birth. It is the same fabric both sides except one side has a pattern and the other side is plain. He calls it "her" and only likes it pattern side up as it's "so smooth". It's the same feel. He won't have it.

Love all of these! Glad it's not just me with an oddball child 😅😂

@loveulotslikejellytots according to my MIL, his dad was particular about his silky comforter as a child too so it must be in the genes!
