Pre school easy drop off

Just dropped DS for his first day at preschool nursery, he is almost 3, we visited a couple of weeks before Christmas break for about an hour

I stayed for about 20 minutes and then said bye and left

He was absolutely fine when I said I was going home and would be back at lunch time (he's only going a couple of mornings a week)

Is this it? Has it gone well?

I was so worried about him getting upset but he seemed totally fine and happy

Same thing happened here with my nearly 4 DS this morning. First time away and absolutely fine, I think I stayed maybe five minutes to help him find his peg and re-introduce the nursery staff. I was definitely more unsettled than he was! Hopefully it continues this way.
