Toddler in a single bed?

Transitioning my 2 year old from co sleeping to his own bed in his room.
We've bought a single bed instead of putting his toddler bed up.
Just not sure what duvet and pillow to get as most are those tiny toddler ones? Will he be ok with a normal single duvet that's 4 tog?
Or should I stick to a smaller one?

Mine went in a double bed with a double duvet so a single one will be fine.

It wad a single duvet we got when ours went onto a single bed. We never used a toddler bed

I used a standard single duvet horizontally on the bed, more of a “feet to foot” position and could tuck the quilt in on both sides so they felt secure.

Just a single duvet will be fine, I found just a very cheap pillow is best because they’re really thin and not much padding so just right for their little necks.

I got a single duvet but it’s a kids 4.5 tog one but still usual single size.

Single bed, single duvet turned sideways to tuck in. Light for summer, heavier for winter.
