12 week old baby sleep

Hi, I'm wondering what others experiences are and if you have any tips.
My baby is 12 weeks old and is up every 2 hours to feed (it's always been this way). He is bf but gets one bottle of formula around 11pm - this is so my husband can do a feed and we hoped formula rather than breast milk would fill him up but this doesn't seem to be the case. He

Daytime he naps around 50 mins in his crib 4x a day so is getting enough sleep there.

I offer the boob all day to try to fill him up but he refuses a lot so I assume he's getting enough daytime calories as he goes feed when he wants to.

Just wondering when things might improve as I'm exhausted being woken every couple of hours. Should I supplement more with formula as all the formula fed babies I know sleep through.

Mine was like this until she was out the other side of the 4 month sleep regression, it does get better! I also think formula fed babies sleeping through is a myth - my friends baby, born 1 day after mine, has been formula fed from birth and definitely hasn't slept through yet! (They're 7 months now)

It's very exhausting!

I've had experience with a formula fed baby and an exclusively breast fed baby. My ff baby is now 3.5 and she didn't sleep through until over 2 years old and still liked a bottle of milk overnight. My breastfed baby just turned 1 and wakes overnight for the boob a lot still too.

Maybe my kiddies are just not the best sleepers! It's very normal to wake up regularly though and you're probably just beginning the 4 month regression, which I personally found harder than the newborn stage both times.

Mine is almost 6 months now but has slept the same since around 2 months. He’s formula fed and up every 2-3 hours. The night before last he was up 7 times and had 4 bottles.

Until recently in the day he would only contact nap or sleep in car/ pram and slept for 1-2 hours at a time 3 times per day, we’ve just recently started getting him to nap in his cot or pram so he will sleep from 30mins to 2 hours 3 times per day.
