Currently struggling with my kids being a complete nightmare at bedtime and looking for reassurance it won't alway be THIS bad and maybe some tips on how to achieve a better experience for all.
We are a family of 5 - 1 10yo, and a 5&3yo. We are having a weekend away in a hotel with adjoining rooms, and the kids won't go the fuck to sleep. I am so fed up that this happens - every time we are away we get no sleep. They are overexcited and I get that, but why won't they just go to bed? They are tired - they were falling asleep at dinner - but now they are just doing anything BUT going to sleep. One is on our room, and I wish they were all in a room together so I could just shut the door and leave them to it tbh. They haven't been the best over the Xmas holiday at going to sleep as it is but this is worse as we are confined together. At least at home I can go and watch tv in between getting them back into bed for the bazillionth time. Help. What do people do? We were gifted the night away and while I lolved the day out today, the bedtime is just HELL and makes me never want to holiday with my kids again until they are grown ups. 🙈
